Did you know that you can set up a page for your business on Facebook?
Once you have your page up, you can set up a “reveal tab”. This is where you can set content to be shown only to those who like your page. This is done with FBML code. FBML is a lot like HTML and CSS. If you already know HTML and CSS, it’s not hard. You simply need to know the basic code for content shown only to connections and you can customize it any way you want.
For example, if you have an autoresponder and want to offer a free ebook, you can offer a chapter or two for free to those who like your page and have those who want the entire ebook opt in via a form right on the facebook page. Or maybe you have a video course and can show the first video on the page that is shown after someone likes the page. Then provide a form for them to opt in to get the rest of the video course.
You don’t need to have an autoresponder. You can simply offer a link to the entire ebook or show the entire video series or audio series on the page.
If you want to see the reveal tab in action, visit my facebook page and if you are not a fan, you will see the first page offering a free audio for liking the page. Then after you click the like button, you will be brought to the audio. If you have already liked the page, you will need to log out of facebook before clicking the link in order to see the welcome page for people who are not connections.
